Yes, it is very unfair. Most people don't understand the difference between total tax paid and effective MARGINAL RATE. Sadly, most people don't even understand the concept of percentages.
The working class pays more in taxes than the investment class. Workers pay a marginal rate of 40.3% (25% federal, 15.3% Social Security and Medicare) The wealthy investment class pays a marginal rate of 15%. Why are workers taxed at nearly triple the rate of investors?
Someone wrote: "But you forget to look at the deductions l;ike all the SALARIES he pays." I think this post clearly sums up how people totally misunderstand everything. Jobs doesn't pay Apple salaries out of his income.
Someone else wrote: "Why does it bother you that someone else makes more money? How does it affect you?" It doesn't.
I just think they should pay at least the same marginal rate is I pay.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
