Evolution: in a word, unintelligent?

I am too intelligent and educated to deny evolution. That is what Woodrow Wilson said in 1922 when he was surprised and disappointed the press still considered it an issue. Rocmike3's assertions tells me more about him than about science or evolution.

Even the Pope who is regressive agrees that evolution is a fact. The birthday I will soon be celebrating will be that of a great man--2-12-10 will be Darwin's birthday.

I believe in what is taught by my religion-not evolution.

I thought modern religions taught evolution. You may have one that is not up-to-date. Even the Pope acknowledges evolution that he erroneously believes was supervised by God.

If not how is it that primates share 98% of their DNA with US? Ever given that any thought rockmike? Think you better go back to science and biology class for a refresher course.

And you're right C.D. the "theory" that we evolved from "monkeys" isn't theory at all, but with modern technology and scientific equipment has been proven to be a FACT!

We share a common ancestor. Which is why our DNAs are so closely bonded.

If an Asian woman had two children by two different fathers --a white father, and a black father, and the child of the white father had a child by a white father, and that child had a child by a white father, etc. , etc. , etc.-- and the black child had a child by a black father, and that child had a child by a black father, etc. , etc. Ect. --many, many generations down the road the Asian ancestor would have descendants that were, for all intents and purposes, considered all but completely either white or black --two entirely different "races". And through the use of mitochondrial DNA (brought to us by science and technology via science) the lineage could be proven.

I don't know how to make it any simpler.

C.D. and Physicalist, I think we have run into the proverbial brick wall. As far as I know, non porous objects do not contain grey matter. And you can't argue with the stupid or the insane, neither has any reasoning ability.

If science has no validity in this world, (according some) I don't know what does. I guess a refresher course wouldn't wake them up, they are to far gone for that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
