First Best Answer: What question did you get your very first Best Answer vote on?

I just asked what folks' first question answered here was and someone noted their first best answer, too, when they responded, so thought I'd toss this one out there, too. Mine happened to be for my very first question, so somewhat curious to see how many others maybe had this experience, too, tho' I'll admit I'd been lurking a bit before I even attempted to answer a question. On August 19th of this year I got "best answer" for answering the following question. "What album have you owned on vinyl, cassette, 8-track, CD, and MP3? " I now have Fragile, by Yes, on my cell phone.My ringtone is "Five Percent for Nothing.

" It was asked by pseudotsuga whose avatar is a picture of a black lab. Here's my answer: "David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" It is one of my all-time favorites. I saw him perform for the first time on this tour.

Right now it's on my iPod and I listen to it from time to time and enjoy every minute. That was the entire answer. Other people wrote (or copied) long tracts on their all time favorites but I got best answer!

" I just dove in and went for it, especially since my first question was about ice cream making (more or less) and I had just made some really yummy ice cream. Here it is! My very first question I got a best answer ribbon on was a question about buying a piano of all things. It's odd because I'm only a beginner piano player, so it's not really my area of expertise.

However, my husband is a wonderful piano player (in my totally unbiased opinion :) and was playing piano in a jazz band at the time. We have an old piano (with some of the problems common in an old piano) and I often here my husband lamenting about how nice it would be to buy a new piano. So I'm pretty familiar with the trade-off between an old piano and a new piano.

Unlike you, the first question I answered here I got an "okay" on. Oops! I think it was a default okay, but I don't know...it might have been due to giving the question asker information she already knew or didn't want to hear.It was an infertility-related question, and was the question that "hooked" me into the site.

Good thing it took 10 days to get my final score of "okay". By then I was already addicted or else I might have been overly depressed by the okay in a topic I know so much about. I got my first Best Answer almost exactly one year ago today! Today is my one year anniversary on Askville! And can you believe Askville didn't get me anything?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
