Following other Hubbers/writers and if it is proper to thin them out?

I feel, too, that I'm not giving all the hubbers I'm following enough attention on their hubs. I save the email from Hub Editor that tells me the newly published hubs by those I'm following, so that I can go back and read them now and then as I have time. I also try to make sure, that before I follow someone that is following me, I check out their profile and a hub first, making a comment on it.It's hard to keep up with everybody.

It's tough, huh?

Victoria Lynn, thank you. So much for being a newbie, huh?

I would agree with J.S. Because...yeah...he said it so much better than I. I have never seen it flash up (so-and-so is UN-FOLLOWING so- and-so)...my hope would that they would be more discreet? Oh, btw...hi everyone in the thread.

I don't recommend un-following people as it may send out a negative message. You can see all your followers by clicking the "My Profile" link at the top of any page. Look for the images of your followers to the right of the page.

There is a button above them that says "see all". Click it, and you will see the list of all your followers. What I do suggest is changing your e-mail settings if you do not want to know each time a person you follow publishes a Hub.

You can do this by clicking "My Account" in the top right hand corner of any page, then click "Profile" in the capsule on the top left. There you will see a list and "E-mail Settings". You can adjust it to whatever notifications you want!

I hope this helps! JSMatthew~.

If you click on My Profile in the upper right hand corner of your home screen and then look down among the the right hand sidebars on your Profile page, you should see the faces of your followers. You have to click on each one and then about the third or fourth option down on the right on their profile page will be an option to discontinue following them. I don't know if you care about points, but while browsing in the past few weeks I saw someone mention that it's not the number of people you follow that supposedly increases your points but rather the number you follow whose hubs you actually read.So if you're not reading the hubs of the folks you're following, then I'd say there's no point in keeping them, both from a personal point of view and a points point of view.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
