For those of you who, like me, are too cheap to go to a waxing salon and therefore wax at home?

I have a multi-phased approach.....to my waxing method. First, I cleanse my skin with an alcohol based cleanser, to remove the natural oils and dry skin. Dry that off, then apply a light layer of baby powder.

The baby powder helps keep the wax from sticking to your skin. Then, apply your wax and strip. Here’s where I say, "don’t hold your breath."

I hold the skin very, very taut, take a deep breath, exhale, and pull the strip as I exhale. I find that, when you hold your breath while pulling the strip, it seems to hurt/sting a lot more. As long as I keep breathing, I find that the pull isn’t so bad, plus I know that I’m focusing on something besides the pull.

I also use the Pelon (non-woven) strips instead of the muslin, because I find they work much better for getting all the wax and hair. Muslin seems to leave too much residue and doesn’t give a clean pull. I find this method works really well for legs, eyebrows, bikini, and arms, but...I still have yet to find something that doesn’t make me swear loudly when waxing my upper lip.

I don’t know why that area still hurts like crazy, but, even with my deep breathing and Pelon, eeee-youch, it still hurts! Aztempest's Recommendations Depileve N.W. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
