Haha, aww, this is so cute xD I definitely think he's interested, heck yeah, from the sounds of things he didn't wanna give a straight yes/no answer because he might be slightly either socially awkward, or awkward around you simply because he does like you. I really don't know, it's quite confusing. If you like him try to invite him on a date a few more times but if he keeps avoiding you then give it up. There are many more gay guys out there waiting.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
