Well, yes - you should do that. It will sure be faster than opening and reading all your KMZ/KML files each time.
The comparison against which you've judged the speed seems trivial. For instance, I could load all the GeoSpatial data in to RAM, set up a server daemon with code optimised for finding intersections, and talk with that - this is essentially what MySQL does, but is special purpose. Alternatively, perhaps a different database is known to be speedier in terms of geospatial data.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
