(see details. ) If so, why has Vick been allowed to play football within such a short time of being released from prison? The man has gone on with his life, yet the dogs he used and abused are still trying to get over the torment they had to live with.

It's heartbreaking to see what man finds enjoyable. It's sick. What say you?

IF you are talking about the show Dog Town. I have been watching it since it started. While I believe that he served his time and has the right to work again.

I don't think that he should have been let back into the NFL. They are held up as role models and the only message I see Michael Vick sending is I got caught, did a little time and gave a un-heart felt apology, Now I get to be a star again. I'm waiting for Karma to kick his butt.

I find what he did to be deplorable, but I also believe in our criminal justice system. *Most* of the time they get it right. I'm not sure if his punishment was commensurate with the crime, but he served his time.

That means that his debt to society has been paid. So, yes. He has the right to seek and obtain employment within our society.

And don't you *sort of* enjoy the irony of him getting onto the field in a battle that often results in injuries (some permanent, some deadly) with his fellow humans? I can actually see how he might have felt that dog fighting was very similar to what he himself does! Of course that is not accurate, as he chooses football, and no dog would choose the torment of being trained to fight.

But still...

PS I didn't answer your main question! No, I've not seen the special. I have watched humane society videos on dog fighting and puppy mills, and they leave me in tears every time.

Last I heard, most of the dogs were either adopted or are living their lives out at sanctuaries. Only 2 had to be put down, 1 due to injuries the other for behavior problems. 4 became certified therapy dogs ( how cool is that?) Yes he had to pay $1M in restitution to the dogs, IMO he should be paying alot more.

And as for playing football? SHAME on the NFL for allowing him back. SHAME!

.

Yes, it is indeed sick to think that he is still allowed to play. But you know business is business. It's just sad that the football organizers make money from the issue.

It is over. He is out of jail. Time to move on.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
