Many states require employers to allow time off for jury duty. In some cases, the employer requires a letter from the court stating you were at jury duty to qualify for the time off. That's really easy to get.
I've forgotten to go to jury duty and they called me that afternoon. I had to fill out a form stating why I didn't go and they just put me in the next round. When I went that day, they gave me a form letter on the way out for my employer.
A lot of times, you can be called to jury duty but won't get picked, so you're only out a few hours or a day.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
