Has the anonymous question feature made the Mahalo Twitter question import tool obsolete?

I don't think the twitter import is obsolete. Both serve their purpose. Twitter import brings in a wide variety of questions over here and when/if we answer them, the twitter member gets them.

Which means they get information, and possibly we gain a new member of Mahalo! The Anon questions let us ask questions, good or bad, if we don't want our names attached to them. Downside if we want to check the answers, we have to dig through the MA pages to find them, check the Anon profile, or if we're smart enough to do so, bookmark the question.

They are both really bad ideas. They both degrade the quality of questions on Mahalo. They both contribute to answerers wasting time and they reduce the quality of answers.

I don't see why anonymous makes the twitter questions obsolete. They both result in countless stupid questions, but separately.

TwitterSearch is still available. I believe both tools add value to Mahalo for their respected uses, even with the addition of the Anon Q tool, I still find myself perusing the Twitter Questions for interesting imports. With that said, I think Anon does spare users a bit of time when they are looking for a specific answers to specific questions that they do not want to personally ask.

I would have to say that this is 75/25. 75% of the reasons that those of us that use twitter questions is obsolete. We can now just create questions to answer ourselves for the same purposes.

The 25% is to bring new people into Mahalo. I think that is probably a high percentage. But that is just my take.

That is rarely my motive when using Twittersearch! That being said, maybe we will still use Twittersearch, but with better motives. We will use it to bring people into Mahalo and look after them if they join.

On second thought, we look after each other anyway, so, the better motive will be to answer questions. That is our passion. That is our design.

So, NO, it is not obsolete! We like answering questions and real questions are our passion. So, twittersearch on... we now just have better motives.

Thanks for the question. 8~).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
