IJustine, a YouTuber and tech geek has recently featured a cameo on Law & Order: SVU. She says that she is also interested in doing more cameo's in the future in another one of her videos. Then take Justin Bieber, a YouTube teenager who uploaded him singing other artists songs and has become a worldwide teenage heartthrob and become a massive music star.
A recent Vizio commercial mentioned a few internet celebrities: youtube.com/watch?v=cHxmRSYDazE 0:19 - "The Stoned Kid" youtube.com/watch?v=txqiwrbYGrs 0:28 - "Dramatic Chipmunk" youtube.com/watch?v=a1Y73sPHKxw 0:37 - "The Numa Numa Guy" (aka "Gary Brolsma," who did interviews and inspired O-Zone to remake their "Dragostea Din Tei" song, more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Brolsma ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmtzQCSh6xk There might be others in the commercial, but I don't recognize them.
Hmmm... maybe I should get a better example. Or I'll just post this picture! I think that will justabout cover it...
If you are looking for a sports celeb, look no further than Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson. Kimbo got his start street fighting and posting the handycam footage on YouTube. He then fought for now defunct Elite XC, a mixed martial arts promotion, garnering huge ratings and attention for what many consider very limited skills.
Kimbo then agreed to fight for the UFC in the 2009 reality series: The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV. Here's the fight that started it all, below. Cheers!
Dane Cook was pretty much a no-name before utilizing the internet and specifically MySpace to gain fans there and parlayed that into some measure of celebrity. Though, definitely not A or even B list.
Lauren Luke has seen what happens when you tap the transformative power of makeup in a big way. The 27-year-old single mom grew up awkward and out of place in her South Shields, England, neighborhood and would often experiment with her mom's Avon products to give herself a little extra confidence. Though she never quite emerged from her shell, she did start selling makeup brushes, eye shadows and the like on EBay.
And when her so-called ugly duckling's metamorphosis arrived, it came straight out of a tube -- YouTube, to be exact. Her EBay clients had bombarded her with questions about how to use her products, and since showing is easier than telling, in 2007 she began to upload unedited, not-rehearsed, real-woman-giving-it-a-go makeup application tutorials under the name panacea81, signing off with her trademark "zoom zoom" -- what it sounds like, she says, when characters in the Sims games say goodbye. Her word-of-mouth fan base grew, and with more than 5 million channel views logged, she launched her own makeup line, By Lauren Luke, in April.
Not a television, movie, or sports celebrities, but she did make it big off of youtube. I definately wouldn't mind having my own make up line at Sephora, a very popular make up store! I watched a morning show on her a few months ago, congrats to her!
:).
I'm pretty sure tila tequila made it really big from her myspace, got loads of friends and it ended up leading her to her tv show. :) Also there was a kid singer, whom I can't remember his name. :( damn.
But some stars turned out so good looking, that their careers skyrocketed even further. After all, these mini stars get whatever they want, yet are hounded by the paparazzi 24/7. Kids are thrown into an industry where you have to be cute and stay cute, otherwise you may end up like Devin Ratry.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
