Yes, and I still blush with the thought A long time ago, there was a question asked...something like...How do I prepare my 3 year old for his ’soon to arrive’ new baby sister. Well, I read it a little too quickly and ’new baby sister’ didn’t register...I saw ’new baby sitter’... Being a mom of 6, I had plenty of experience getting the kids ready for a new sitter..and I went on and on with great advice and shared all of my motherhood experience on the subject. Well, when it was time to vote on the other answers...I wanted to die...I felt totally stupid....and the score I received confirmed it...LOL.
Those were the days of ’quest coins’ and I lost a bunch. I seriously considered changing my name and avatar....becoming even more anonymous My big goof didn’t make me want to change my philosophy on life...but it sure taught me to read twice and answer once. After your clarification I feel I can answer it now! And the answer is "Yes! " A few days ago I answered an opinion question and when the answers were revealed I found all answers "YES" and mine says "NO!".
I felt embarrassed and thought about it for a few minutes... am I missing something?... why should they all think differently?... I read all 4 answers and then I thought about that...I came to the point that I saw some other aspect of the question that the rest could not see or maybe that was not what the asker meant actually!?! I don't exactly know! They might still think I was wrong but at least the good point is that I did not have a bad feeling about my answer anymore, and that is enough for me!

Absolutely! I was so embarrassed! I thought I knew the answer off the top of my head & just answered without verifying it.
I was SO wrong. Luckily I received an average score by generous Askvillians. I was partially right, but not really & they, at least, acknowledged my effort and participation.
Thank you Askville members for being so magnanimous! I'm certain in your case they would be just as understanding. We're all entitled to our opinions, that's what makes Askville such a great website to visit.
Keep on answering & participating in discussions, the knowledge you gain is more than worth it, and hopefully you won't feel judged by any members. Good luck & take care, Sources: my own embarassement .
Oh yes! I have had that happen several times but the worst one was when I tried to answer a question that contained some slang that I didn’t get and I sounded like a complete and total idiot. That happened not long after I arrived here and I hadn’t learned my lesson about being careful to really understand the question before I answered.
There is a great big backhoe out in our backyard right now and if it had been there then I would have gone out and hot wired the thing and dug a very deep hole so that I could crawl into it and bury myself. I have given some rotten answers on occasion but that one really stank and the minute that I posted it and saw some of the other answers I knew that I sounded ridiculous. May I be run over by a streetcar if I ever do anything like that again.
Did you hear that clang? Sources: my life on Askville .
I revel in being different OMG! I just know this answer is going to be wrong. I'm so ashamed.
Not! :D .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
