Have you ever stepped back from a mirror and honestly assessed yourself at the image staring back at you?

Yes I have and here is what I got from that assessment:The Man In The GlassWhen you get what you want and you struggle for selfAnd the world makes you King for a day,Just go to the mirror and look at yourselfAnd see what that man has to say. For it isn’t your father, or mother, or wifeWhose judgment upon you must pass,The fellow whose verdict counts most in your lifeIs the one staring back from the glass. He’s the fellow to please, never mind all the restFor he’s with you right to the end,And you know you’ve passed your most difficult testIf the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of lifeAnd get pats on the back as you pass,But your final reward will be heartache and tearsIf you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

That was excellent! Who wrote it? Rhine44 16 months ago .

After doing some research, I did find the author and even found the actual poem before it was changed over the years to the one like I've shown above. The author is Peter "Dale" Wimbrow Sr. And here is a website all about the poem.Com.

Yes, and I'm always a bit shocked. Where did those wrinkles come from? I don't remember having wrinkles.... why does my husband think I am pretty?.... forget it, lady, and get your teeth brushed....

Lucky you, at least you have teeth to brush. I just soak mine. :-) rhine44 16 months ago .

I'm cracking up, rhine. My time is coming soon, never fear. I can only chew on one side now as it is and most of them are crowns.... we're still alive and kicking, right?

I try to make eye contact but no matter where I go in the room...my eyes seem to follow me! .

I don't want to as I get older....distance from the mirror is ok.

Some times I take myself too serious, and it's good in the way of humility to take a reality check. Just my own opinion. Whatever works for others is fine also.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
