Yes, it was worth it. I attended the 5 yr, 10 yr and 20 yrs. Unfortunately my 30 year is coming up.

Time does fly. So here my take on the high school reunion gig. 5yr: Just like high school, teleporting back to senior year.

Same friends, same clothes, this is the one I would have skipped. Word to the wise: Don't get trashed, it will talked about at the 10 yr.10yr: Worth it just to see everyone's first round of spouses, catch up and see if you really recognize anyone. My thought is, leave spouses and S.

O's behind. They will be BORED. Its fun.20yr: By far the best, by then everyone is on round 2 and perhaps round 3 of spouses, partners etc.All have forgotten who their friends really were and its much more of big party and BTW the women on the whole looked way better than the men.

Thank god for hair color, fake tans and spanks. Really, the best one.30 yr: talk to me next year, will advise..

Maybe I don't know yet. Depends on my life at the time of the reunion. Probably though..

Yes and it was really strange I missed my 5 year but attended my 10 year a few years back. At one point in the evening I looked around and everyone was sitting with the same clique they sat with at lunch everyday in school. Maybe 10 years is too close to graduation for people to be comfortable with themselves.

I doubt I will go to my 15th - it was just too strange and I haven't kept in touch with people. My curiosity wains.

Pah! No. I'm not that nostalgic about high school, I haven't really kept any friends since then, and I don't need to rub it into my ex-classmates' faces that I made something of my life.

Maybe there's a deeper reason why people go to reunions, but I'm missing them.

1 I am not attached to any high school classmates and have not kept in touch with anyone from my high school class (but I was in a high school class of 32). I have yet to have a class reunion, but do not plan to attend any as of right now.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
