How are books selected for the Amazon Kindle?Will travel books such as the Fodor and Frommer series be Kindle available?

You'll have to keep checking back. The books available on Kindle will be determined by agreements with the publishers. I would suspect that some of the travel guides will be available fairly quickly as their content fits fairly well with Kindle.

That being said, many travel guides contain many pictures etc. Kindle is only black and white currently, meaning that the authors and publishers may not want their content displayed in that format. Amazon hasn't released a list of upcoming books for Kindle, their only suggestion is that you keep checking back frequently to see if your selection is there.It is likely that they are watching the web traffic and the books and subjects that are being searched the most on the Kindle website will be a higher priority. Keep this in mind and check back often.
