Wow.....I find this so amazing. The Republicans have compromised and people say they haven't and then they say the Dem's have compromised and they haven't even come up with a Bill. Gees people are you stupid or what?
This is what I get...Reid wants to raise the debt ceiling 2.7 Trillion until after the election to get Obama through this problem but only wants to cut 1 Trillion through 10 years. We will be up to 20 trillion in debt going this way. This is what I got from my Congressman.... Today the House rejected Senator Reid's bill on a bipartisan vote because it continues the trend of unchecked spending that got us into this financial crisis.
His plan gives the President a $2.4 trillion debt ceiling increase through the end of 2012 but is offset by $1 trillion in financial gimmicks. With our debt approaching $15 trillion this is another blank check that the American people cannot afford to write. The House has already passed two bills, one with bipartisan support, that would have ended this crisis and ensured long-term control of the budget.
The Senate has yet to pass a bill and the president has yes to offer a substantive proposal. I remain committed to working on a bipartisan solution that will avoid default and restore accountability to the way Washington spends your money. With Best Regards Michael T.
McCaul Member of Congress.
Maybe almost as bad as the shellacking that the Republicans will suffer for not compromising with Democrats, or even among themselves.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
