The Tea Party is simply the Silent Majority, it's not a mystery, it's the guy next door that usually has no opinion about politics, he just works and takes care of his family, until the government gets out of control and GETS INTO HIS BUSINESS, then he is awaken to respond, he knows the government is crooked and full of crooks, but as long as they stay out of his way, he don't care, Obama and the Democrats decided to get up in his FACE and he will not lay back down and go to sleep again until he has cleaned house and things have returned to normal---it's that simple**********************************...
The US political system is a two party system with outlier parties, to have an effect on the system, you essentially need to enter/infiltrate those parties and change or redirect them. Any and all changes will be done through the grinding medium of the two parties due to the simple power each of the main parties wields. You will achieve little to no results with simply staying in the libertarian or other parties without trying to influence one of the major ones.
Not a pretty view but, I believe it to be accurate and thus relevant. Edit: I would also like to add, that the tea party is rather limited in purpose, of which was to limit government and reduce taxes. That leaves a lot of room and leeway for other thoughts and or activities, so I'm guessing this also is part of it.
I don't find the inclusion of others to be significantly damaging or anything, anyone who would leave due to famous republicans joining would not be solid in the long term.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
