Sad to say, but even though it's your own property it's technically illegal for you to make a backup copy or transfer your purchased legal movie to your computer. That said, there are ways of transferring your movies to your computer but you'll have to think of a few words to pop into google to find the answer. You'd don't have to be tech geek to do this.
Note to FBI: I'm not advocating that anyone actually take these actions. I've read each and every one of your warnings on every movie that I watch that states that I can go to jail for 5 years and be fined $100,000. I'm simply stating that it can be done.
While I've got the FBI's attention, let me ask you this: How many FBI agents are employed to hunt down people who make backup copies of their movies? Scene I'd like to see: Two men are in a prison cell. One guy asks the other why he's in prison.
He responds: "I'm a serial rapist and mass murderer. Why are you here? " The other guy answers, "I made a backup copy of my kid's DVD disk." .
Ha ha ha thanls for the GREAT laugh- I did not know that if you OWN something you can't copy it- that is just DUMB! Crazzzielady 13 months ago .
ThreadBane is correct, but we need to go one step farther. Disney DVD have copy encryption built into the DVD. If you try and make a copy, nothing will happen.
Some Disney DVD's come with a second DvD that will allow you to copy the movie to another computer, but even if you copy it to another computer, it will not allow you to copy that to a DVD. Some of these encryptions are so complicated, it would take only those with the right equipment to be able to make a copy.
Look for a program called Magic DVD Ripper, it's like 30 bucks...but they should have a free demo also for like a month...You can either A, rip DVDs into mp4 format or burn back-up copies. But then again...not all DVD's will work...
BTW, I believe you can legally back up copies for your own use, it becomes illegal when you distribute them or broadcast them.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
