There are ways to make you more attractive to potential employers and there are various sites out there offering advice, but there are a couple of sites I would recommend based on the number of articles they offer and the quality of advice. Your first impression is very important because before an employer decides whether they’d like to meet with you or not, they see you on paper.
Your resume should be formatted simply but must contain your skills, accomplishments, education, work history and experience and your contact information. You should skip complicated formatting which may not translate when others open the attachment. You should always send a cover letter along with your resume to introduce yourself and highlight your attributes.
When you do get called in for an interview, dress for success. It’s better to overdress a bit, rather than be under dressed and keep the scent and cosmetics on the light side. When you meet your interviewer and they want to know something about you, tell them about some of your accomplishments, your skills and how you’ve used them successfully in the past and what you can do for them in the future.
This is not bragging, you are simply advertising yourself in the best light possible, but don’t embellish too much because you don’t want to promise anything you will be unable to deliver. Secondly, ask questions. When you ask your potential employer questions it shows you are interested and you have been listening to what’s been said.
Don’t bring salary or vacation up at this point because that will come later, but do bring up questions you want to know such as what would a day at the office entail? I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
