Too much too quickly. I wouldn't even attempt to move a child into his own bed, let alone his own room, until he's had lots and lots of time to get used to the new home. Just think about it.
Baby is not oblivious. If you're moving in 5 days, he can't have missed the preparations, and is probably anxious enough as it is. My kids were certainly anxious when we were packing to move.
Right now he needs the comfort of your presence more than ever. Wait until things have settled down. Then I'd second what TriHarder says about starting with a side-sleeper and then moving him gradually further away.
If you have a crib you can take the side out of you can actually convert it into a side-sleeper, so that you don't have to buy an expensive piece of furniture.
I personally would never do two such big changes at once, especially for a child that young. I'd set up a side sleeper in the new house and keep him close at hand for a few months until you're all settled in, then start moving it further from your bed until he's sleeping on his own.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
