Let him cry, if that is what he is doing. He will, eventually sleep all night long in the crib, if he realises that you are not going to run in and pick him up. If he is not hungry, not wet, and not in danger, crying will not hurt him.
I mean, if you knew that all you had to do was cry to get picked up and held and given warm food, wouldn't you cry, too? He's getting into a bad habit that is going to be hard to break. You need to stop it now.
I let him cry for 40 mins and he did not stop I went in and got, he went back to sleep in my arm with in 2-3 mins I waited and then put him back in his crib, he got you again --- how long to let him cry and how many times to let him cry --- he will sleep all night long in my beb with me and get up one time --- please help me a mom Littleones 9 months ago .
You let him cry until he stops. No matter how long it takes. If you are sure he is simply crying to be picked up, then do not even go into the room.My son used to get rocked to sleep.
At first, it was just a couple of minutes - then ten, twenty, and then an hour. Then two. Finally, I rocked him for five minutes, and put him in his crib.
He SCREAMED for over two hours, while I sat in the living room with my fingers in my ears. Finally, he stopped. I went in, and he was fine - and asleep.
Next night, same thing. Third night, there was no crying. See, he knows you are going to come and get him.
He is running the show. So, you need to be the adult in this, and let him cry. He will stop crying, if you don't whimp out and go and get him.
Every time you do, you are rewarding him for his behavior, and he is never going to stop. He will be 6 and 7 and still wanting to get into bed with you. You need to stop this, now.
