How can I remove hard calcium deposits on my sink & tub water faucets?

IT'S WHITE CALCIUM AND LIME AND HARD AS A ROCK.........ALOT OF BUILD UP. I HAVE USED LIME AWAY AND IT DOSEN'T WORK FOR ME..........WOULD MEURATIC ACID DO THE TRICK OR WOULD IT DAMAGE MY SINKS? THEY ARE NOT MADE FROM THE SAME THING MY TUB IS.

Use white grain vinegar to dissolve the calcite deposits. Exactly as we pour the stuff into the coffee maker when it slows down.

I know we use that on our shower head and it takes it all away ...

2 Adding to Tweets' comment. Soak toweling in the white vinegar (soppy wet) and wrap it around the fixtures. Then wrap that in plastic (bag or wrap) and leave overnight.

Works darn well but you might have to do it more than once since you say it is bad.

3 I will third the vinegar suggestion. Another thing that may work is humidifier descaling solution (should be able to purchase at any hardware store)...it is specially made to break down these deposits. Personally I do not think it works much better than vinegar bot for real tough deposits it may work better.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
