How do I hook up a dvd player and rf modulator to an older NTSC TV with a dtv converter box?

I have a relatively old TV without A/V inputs--just coaxial cable input--and a low-end DVD player with both coaxial and red/yellow/white inputs. I also have an RF modulator and a DTV converter box. Thank you.

Solutions ... If your DVD player doest have coaxial RF input, your DVD player is likely to have a tv tuner, and most likely your DVD player also is a DVD recorder since it has A/V INPUTs. Althouth, the tuner might just be an analog tuner. Check your DVD player manual to clarify this.

If what I speculated above is correct, then you can hook up the incoming coaxial tv cable into the converter, and from the converter's RF output to your dvd machine's RF input, then from the DVD player's coaxial output to your TV's RF jack. When you watch TV, turn off the DVD player to let the tv signal from the converter pass through. The alternative is, or if my assumption is wrong, you can buy a coaxial tv cable 2-to-1 input selector, sort of a A/B switch, with two inputs, one output and a switch in the middle.

See the recommendation below. One input is from the converter, and the other one is from the DVD player. The RF modulator might have no use here, but if your DVD player or your converter does not have a coaxial output, you can use it to convert A/V outputs to coaxial.

1 Having just finished my own hookup with the same configuration with advice from Radio Shack here is how it worked. Plug antenna in onto the correct plug on the DTV box. Use the cable that came with the DTV and go from TV Out on DTV to antenna in on the RE Modulator.

Leave the TV Out from the RE Modulator to the TV alone. Mine now works.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
