That's an interesting challenge! Your rf modulator is some kind of switcher/converter? What inputs/outputs does it have?
I haven't bought one yet. I guess I should ask what can I buy, if anything to be able to hook up the analog tv, cable box and roku. I read something about a RF converter but not sure whether it would work.

That makes it easier! I sure wouldn't spend much money on this device however, because new TVs are pretty inexpensive and used TVs are often free. People are giving away TVs all the time on Freecycle and Craigslist because they have upgraded to flat panel and can't sell their tube TVs, and it costs $10 or more just to recycle an old TV!
If you can find a free TV with component video inputs (3 cables for video) you won't need a converter. Of course tube TVs are really heavy, so you'd need lots of help getting it home. As far as your RF converter, the device on the link below may work, but it doesn't have component video, just composite video, which uses 1 cable for video.
Check the back of your cable box and your Roku to see if they have just a plain old white jack labeled "video out". If they do, this device will work and it's only $10. I didn't see anything that converted component video to coax.
If you've found something that you think will work, attach a link and I'll look at it. Com/RCA-CRF907-Compact-RF-Modulator/dp/B0014KKV7W/ref=sr_1_2? Ie=UTF8&qid=1321023907&sr=8-2.
Thanks! You have been a great help. I have about decided to just buy a new TV.
This one was given to me years ago and I bet it was manufactured in the 70's if not longer ago. I'm still going to check out the link you recommended just in case I can save a few $$. Pocsmom 26 days ago .
Now that I think about it, the back of the tv does have a single white video and audio port. Not sure about the cable box or Roku. It is all so confusing.
With those ports on the back of the TV, does that make things simpler or should I bite the bullet and get a new TV? Pocsmom 26 days ago .
Your cable box may have a coax port, so you could use that for the cable connected to the coax on your TV. If your Roku has the white "video out" port and the port on your TV says "video in", that will complete your setup. If your cable box doesn't have a coax port you'll have to swap cables or buy some kind of a "Y".
Do you know if your Roku is HD? If it is you could get some use out of a new HDTV, but if you want HD cable you'll have to upgrade your cable box and pay your cable company more every month.
The Roku is the latest model, the XDS so yes it is HD. The cable box is fairly new just not HD so it may have the port I need. I'll try it.
Thanks again! You've been so helpful! Pocsmom 26 days ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
