How do I travel through Thailand?

Can be multifaceted. Which period, maybe March to September in general. This is the monsoon season where it can rain or shower daily in Bangkok for long periods, weeks.

I have been in Bangkok during April, July and September and experienced only one shower per day 7 day period I was there, if that much. April is a busy month in Bangkok because of Songkhran new year in Thailand. I have noticed May to June being quite wet.

August and September same. The rain mostly holds up the taxis and other land vehicles. I do not recall hearing that the skytrain nor subway being held up by the storms.

Though some flooding in downtown bangkok can get up to 3 feet high in some sois/side streets. Now, you have to look at air traffic patterns, Thai airways is the ONLY carrier direct to Thailand from LA. SFO and I think Seattle.

Not sure about the east coast. Their airfare is USD 200-400 more r/t than others. Therefore to be economical, you will take Delta or American and their partners, either EVA Air or China Airlines which are good airlines to fly on.

And since the summer months are busy since both Thailand and the USA are in the Northern Hemisphere, you want to fly during the off season which is the monsoon season in Thailand. Because the winter season, is for the European snowbirds. So March or May, August September or October is the best times, to travel to Thailand.

Probably October if you want it hot or March if you want it mild in temperature. I go in November but, it is hard to get a hotel rate. Why?

Well, many discounters change their rates on November 1 and the many hotels that deal with them tend to raise their rates in preparation for the snow birds. That's why October is probably the best time to go, still hot to warm in Temperature and the hotels are still discounted or discounting. Ah, the other thing about flying if you can fly during the day and don't mind arriving in the dark, 11pm to 2 am, those are the lower priced usually.

Mid week flights usually are lower and you won't have a crowded flight. Oh, yes, the other airlines, your stop in Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, or Hong Hong, so you are competing for seats with travelers to Taiwan, China, Japan or Korea. So you cannot wait too long.

I would book no later than 2 months before the flight and the earlier the better. Flight scheduling: www.kayak.com, travel search engine. Thai hotels, www.sawadee.com, www.agoda.com or www.asiarooms.com Other thai info www.thaiwebsites.com Good luck.

When I go to Thailand, I go before December. Reason: December 1 goes into high season and my ticket from the U.S.A. is $1,000 more. Lowest fare is during the rainy season.

Spring and Fall are the shoulder season. Please pick a "Best Answer", even if it is not mine. That way we can tell if we really do help people.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
