Although, director Peter Jackson wanted to remain true to the feel and plot of J.R. R Tolkien’s epic trilogy there was significant parts of the story that was cut out. You can find out more about the parts that were cut at: tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Tolkien_vs._Jack... One of the reason’s cited for the changes in the books being adapted to film was the fact that the books were so large, and there was only so much time that can be adapted onto the screen. So some stuff was cut, some scenes were shortening and even some characters were eliminated.
This sort of thing is fairly common when adapting a book or series of books to the big screen. Sometimes the story has to be changed somewhat to take into consideration the formula of a movie and what the movie going public will go to see. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was epic and met with a lot of critical acclaim but met with some criticism from those who have read the books by not remaining completely true to the over all story.
However, after reading the details on this website it’s pretty clear as to why this just wasn’t possible, even in production that wanted to grab the true feeling of the literature such as this one did.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
