I do not think there is anything else to add to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. They did three movies based on the three books of the Tolkien saga of the ring. There is nothing more to add.
Sometimes there are conclusions to stories, and Tolkien was very good at concluding his book series. The ring is destroyed, 3rd Earth is safe, and everyone went home to live their boring little lives again. If they do attempt to make more Lord of the Rings movies, it may offend some of those die-hard fans who were engrossed in the original movies.
They were well made and well played by a cast of excellent actors and actresses. I say, why try to improve on perfection? There was enough light hearted scenes, and many great battle and dramatic scenes.
I'm not certain that there is funding for such a venture, either. Those movies cost a lot to create, direct, and produce. Even Hollywood's pockets are not bottomless.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
