How do the politics compare between Coronado and San Diego?

The politics are less acrimonious. You have a very supportive city manager, council and community. They all want to maintain this as a very, very safe community.

Regional crime statistics have long shown Coronado to have the lowest, or nearly the lowest crime rates, in San Diego County. Do police here have enough to do? Because there isn't an awful lot of serious crime, the officers address a lot of quality-of-life issues and provide much better service.

We have the region's lowest violent crime rate and have one of the lowest property crime rates. In San Diego, when a vehicle is burglarized, a victim will often be asked to give a report over the phone. Or when there is a traffic accident with no injuries, motorists are asked to just exchange phone numbers and details with the other driver and let the insurance companies handle it.
