The Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego: Have you stayed there? What did you think of it? Would you recommend it?

I've always wanted to stay there, and I'm thinking I will do just that this summer! But, I'd like to hear from anyone who has been there before decide for sure. Thanks!

Oh, you HAVE to stay there! I was lucky enough to stay there a couple of years ago, and I can honestly say it is the nicest place I have ever been. If you can, have dinner in the Crown Room - Richard Nixon had a state dinner there when he was president.

The views are so beautiful - not just the ocean, but the parasailers and the Navy Seals that sometimes practice on the beach. The service is beyond fantastic - we had just gotten into our room when the housekeeper came and put fresh spreads on the beds, offered to unpack for us! We passed on the golf and spa - our budget wouldn't stretch that far, but it is offered and looked to be very deluxe.My only regret is I didn't see the ghost!

Can you tell I am highly recommending the Del? .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
