Well, I think that a VERY minute minority of Muslims are those extremists who fly airplanes into buildings or blow themselves up or perform other acts of terrorism. I have known and do know many people of the Islamic faith who are truly righteous people and they condemn the actions of these few. Having said that, it is my understanding that the people who are moving to erect this building are doing so for conciliatory reasons to promote better understanding of what Islam really represents.
If that is their motivation, I don't really see anything wrong with it. Anything which promotes peace among people I support. Peace, Bill In October of 2001, we invited people from a nearby mosque to our church to speak with adults and youth about what Islam represents.
I make no secret of being bigoted toward some ethic and religious groups but I have never personally known a Muslim and I think they are scapegoats for 911. I think what many conciser conspiracy theories today will become history tomorrow. I wouldn't have a problem with a Mosque being built near me as long as it posed no threat to my personel serenity.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
