It's a monument to them for destroying the World Trade Center, and a slap in the face to all America..
American Muslims (citizens of the United States of America and protected by the Constitutional provisions of Freedom of Religion and Separation of Church and State, etc.) are most certainly within their Constitutional rights to have a place of community gathering and worship built on PRIVATE LAND, with PRIVATE FUNDING. The United States is NOT NOT NOT a "christian" nation and was never intended to be so. I'm for the Constitution, and ergo I support the building of a Mosque.
I thought all you Libertarians out there were strict constitutionalists---did any of you happen to READ Senator Ron Paul's SUPPORT of the building of this private Mosque by American-Muslims? If not, then you should.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
