How do you get cigarette smoke out of a car? Someone borrowed my car and smoked in it, and I can't get the smell out?

This is what my dad's asthma specialist said My mom smoked in their car (before her heart disease was found) and to my dad's asthma specialist said to put like a small dish of white vinegar in the closed up car (empty car, no passengers) and let that deodorize it. This is what we did, took a pot of water with pine sol mixed in it and just started scrubbing the seats and the roof top of where the driver sat. I used a wash cloth and I mean we drenched the seats and came back behind it with a wet/dry vac to soak up some of the water, we left the windows open pretty much all day so the car could air out and dry out. It was much better and the car smelled like lemon pine sol, much better then the cigarettes.
