Scented candles or Oust products. There are various methods. Use a lot of scented candles while you cook (next time).

The best thing really is an odor eliminator like Oust. Oust® Family of Products eliminates odors without just masking them, whether you want to kill odor-causing bacteria in the air or provide continual odor elimination all day long. Sources: oustodor.com/ .

I usually use.....candles and incense. Okay, it probably sounds kind of hippy-dippy, but I find that it works very well for clearing the fishy smell. I have sandalwood incense that I burn in the kitchen, while running the vent fan over the stove.

I then set out two or three really good smelling candles around the rest of the dining area (currently, I'm hooked on a Cranberry candle from Target) and let those burn for about 2 hours. The incense seems to neutralize the cooking smell and the candles counteract the overly smoky smell of the incense. I have also used a spray called, "Clinical Air" from Dr. Richard Schulze. It's a mixture of citrus and eucalyptus and it has worked well for me.

It's just that the candles and incense option tends to be a bit cheaper than the Clinical Air option, although, if it's a horrible smell (like the time my husband burned shrimp in the oven), I will use it liberally to neutralize the odor.

Vent fan We usually try to remember to run the exhaust fan in the kitchen when cooking fish. If you don't have one, you can always just put a small fan in a window and blow out the odors..even a box fan blowing out the kitchen door will work. I don't really like to cover up smells with sprays..

A Couple Methods to Try After preparing and cooking fish there can be a lingering smell. To get rid of it from your kitchen leave a bowl of vinegar in the room overnight and the smell will disappear. If you need to get rid of the smell quickly, perhaps if you are having a dinner party, then try heating the bowl of vinegar.

The easiest way to do this is to place the bowl over a bowling pan of water and turn off the heat. Another way to deal with cooking odors is: saturate a cotton ball with vanilla extract. Set it, in a shallow container, in an out-of-the-way place -- on a window sill, on top of your cabinets (if they don't run clear to the ceiling), on top of the fridge, etc.I use an old jar lid as a container -- it's not meant to be decorative, just useful!

Or, boil lemon or orange peels in a pot on the stove. Sources: uttertrivia.com/fishsmells.php,http://ww... .

Oust... Try some Oust spray. It's supposed to kill odors in the air, unlike other air fresheners, which only just "mask" odors. Sources: Info from commercials and personal experience .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
