I painted my bedroom about three to four weeks ago and it still has a musky paint smell. how do I get rid of the smell?

I PAINTED MY BEDROOM ABOUT THREE TO FOUR WEEKS AGO AND IT STILL HAS A MUSKY PAINT SMELL. HOW DO I GET RID OF THE SMELL? I HAVE OPENED WINDOW FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS AND ALSO RAN A FAN WHEN OPEN I TRIED CLOSING EVERYTHINBG UP AND HAD HEATER RUNING IN THERE.

Keeping the window open is important. That would have been my first suggestion. If it is humid where you are living now, that could be preventing the paint from drying thoroughly.

I don't think closing everything up is the solution. I suppose running the heater is a thought if it is not too warm for you.My air conditioner flooded into my bedroom and part of my livingroom over a week ago. After they repaired the problem, which involved other units on my floor, there was a terrible odor day and night.

I tried spraying the rooms with disinfectant spray.It worked for a short time so that was not a solution. I also kept my windows open. What helped me the most until the odor finally left was lighting Febreze candles in my livingroom and bedroom.

I kept them lit all day until I went to bed. It really helped with the odor. The larger candles last for several days.

Many cheaper brands I have purchased in the past do not work. The Febreze candles cost me about $7.99 each. I also had two $1.00 coupons from the Sunday paper.

The candles may be a short-time solution. The paint odor will go in due time. Next time you paint make sure you research the brands at a hardware store, Home Depot or a paint store.

You will probably be able to buy a paint without the strong odor. Also, do you have the paint can/cans? Check to see if there is a number to call or a website to go into to get info about the particular paint you used.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
