In Mexico and many other spanish speaking countries its called "La rueda de la fortuna", which means the wheel of fortune. Its also called Noria in many other countries. In other countries its called "vuelta al mundo" (around the world).

Different countries have different names for it rueda de la fortuna rueda de Chicago noria rueda gigante ó estrella .
