How Do You Secure A Fishtail Braid?

The fishtail braid is sometimes referred to as the Herringbone braid because of its appearance. It's a very elegant braid that can be created from a ponytail or on the full head. Once you get the hang of it, you can do the fishtail braid on your own hair too.

As you get toward the bottom of the fishtail braid, continue criss-crossing sections of hair until you're out of hair to work with. Hold the fishtail braid in one hand. Tie an elastic or rubber band around with the other hand.
