The downgrade had nothing to do with the existence of the the Tea Party. If the President had heeded the warning of S&P when they called for at least $4 trillion in cuts and getting control of the debt, none of this would have ever happened. We were already at 100% of debt to GDP when S&P watched the debt ceiling get raised by $2.4 trillion.
The head of S&P said this morning that the spending path the administration is on is unsustainable, and that is where the problem lies.
False Premise: The Tea Party did NOT force the downgrade. That was caused by the spending that put the ability of govt to pay the interest in question. The Tea Party tried to slow down the spending.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
