Same as any. You never mentioned what visa he is or will be under. However, you have options.

Magastos, pero not bad considering. You both can also fly out to Hong Kong or Malaysia, etc. and fly in to the Philippines. Show them your marriage certificate, and request a Balikbayan Stamp.

Good for one year. It's basically like a tourist visa though. My CR-13a gives me rights like a citizen.

After one year I will get a PR-13a good for life. After 5 years I will be a dual Pinay/Amerikana. Note: while I will have dual citizenships, I will not be recognized under the "Dual Citizen" laws of the Philippines.

(KANA LOLA-QUEEN) IS WAY OFF...You DO NOT become a duel citizen after a certain amount of time and you DO NOT have the same rights as a local (Never will).... Follow the advise of (ONEILOILO...) I have lived here 8 years and I do have my permanent resident/13a (no I am not a duel citizen because I didn't apply for it)....

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
