How long should I recook my crumb cake if I cooked it at the wrong temp?

I accidentally cooked my crumb cake at 325 instead of 350 for forty five mins. Does anyone know how long I should still cook it on 350? Thanks for any help.

This new gas stove is killing me! Oh, never mind. It's done. I stuck a tooth pick in it.

But I think it's a little to overdone now.So it's definitely less then ten mins! Asked by Alexi 23 months ago Similar questions: long recook crumb cake cooked wrong temp Food & Drink > Cooking.

You have to experiment. My stove is electric but the cakes were coming out too slow and breads too fast so I got and in oven thermometer which hangs from the rack. It turns out that my oven is 25 degrees off, but not always.

I cannot figure it out, and I don't really question it, that the way my life works, and frankly, I just have to work around it. You just have to keep checking and hope the oven does not get any cooler by opening the door too much.. You only cooked it 25 degrees wrong, and that should not be too bad. Sometimes, if the cake is getting too dark outside but is underdone inside, I turn DOWN the temp.

And let it cook longer. Experience will tell you exactly how much time you need, for example, you said, less than 10 minutes, answering your own question. Sometimes your flour is old and can absorb too much liquid, and sometimes you get sloppy and add too much liquid, and that's a problem too.

There's a reason that lots of people do not bake, and that is they are afraid of having to toss something. These days, with food prices going up, I don't really blame them, but in general, I would rather try stuff and see what I get. I rarely have to trash the whole thing.

Last week I noticed all the fresh pumpkin still frozen in the freezer. I did not have cream in the house, or evaporated milk. I was too lazy to make a crust.

I put the pumpkin 2 cups in a bowl, with 8 oz cream cheese, a half cup of sour cream, 4 eggs, some salt, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spices, and baked it in a graham cracker crust: big pile of graham cracker, load of butter, salt, some sugar, press into pan. It still turned out pretty tasty. I don't think I would make it again, but we liked it and ate it.

Che Sera, is my watchword. Stand back and see the results. Sources: own experience, mysideofthecircle.blogspot.com .

1 I would cook it an extra five minutes and then test with a toothpick if it has cooked to your satisfaction.

3 Ya.. when that happens, I generally check it every 2 minutes... then again I am impatient when it comes to desserts .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
