How many religions use body prayers as a part of their practice? How do you think this helps them achieve spiritual realization?

Since the basic definition of body prayer can include even simple gestures such as folded hands, kneeling, bowing of the head and outstretched arms, I'd have to say that I don't know of any religion that doesn't use body prayers as part of their practice. So in that sense I don't have an exact number to quote and risk using the term "all". Especially if singing is considered a form of body prayer.

For many people the practice of their religion includes how they feel when they practice it. I can't think of a single group that doesn't engage in rituals specifically designed to enhance the feelings of the participants. How a person chooses to interpret those feelings can definitely enhance their spiritual experience.

But relying on emotional states or using the body as the sole interpreter of ones faith or experience would be shortsighted and incomplete in my opinion. I've heard of body prayer being pursued as the underlying method in Yoga. Those who delve into the exercise on that level are said to experience a much deeper healing both physically, mentally and spiritually.Yoga.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
