How many watts does it take to start & run a gas fired furnace?I have a 2 story home with base board heating.The unit is?

A gas furnace is typically listed for around 7.3 amps, which would calculate out to around 900 watts maximum load.

There is next to no inrush current I'd have to open one up and actually look at motor FLA ratings to be able to calculate it. It's one of those cases; where it's never been a big enough deal to actually figure out the exact load.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
