It makes me think the person who put this sign up sees gay people as sub human, and undeserving of the same rights as heterosexuals. These kinds of individuals, educated or not, are fundamentally flawed in their reasoning, but worse still, intellect coupled with fundamentalism is a dangerous combination. You can't budge that type of person from their opinions, and I wouldn't even bother trying, I'd just move away from hicks-ville.
Sometimes I feel embarrassed to be a Christian because people post signs like that around my town and I don't want everyone to think that every single Christian is against gay rights. I also question the intelligence of church members in my town who are against building a Planned Parenthood because they perform abortions. However, if they remember that P.P. does plenty of other things besides abortions and do remind women of other ways to deal with an unwanted pregnancy, they wouldn't act so foolish.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
