What shame - it is a big problem for long time with the English. They think every time, that they have the best team and they will always win. Their fans, media, own assoc all hype their overrated players thinking they win.
So tell me how many time they have won the WC? Once - 1966 when played in front home crowds. Their finals between them and Germany had similar controversies where the second goal was awarded to England.
So it was the opposite today. Some are above average players, but not great players as you guys say. May be a couple may be great but not enough to win games.
Lampard and may be Gerrard are two decent players. Please take out that chimp Rooney and he is of no use to any team, may be good for Man Utd. Ok having said that - why blame the coach?
When you have average players this is the best you can get out of this team. England should be considered lucky even to qualify and fate took them and not the performance. Yeah players should be blamed and partly on the expectations set on fans, media as well.
Yeah unfortunately these average players have market in English league but not outside. So their salaries are hyped too. Ha ha - talk the talk and walk the walk - sorry remember we are talking about English not other teams.
Compare them to France and Italy - that should have been the fate of England as well, but among these 3 teams they played better than other two. Unless you know what the problem is, then you can find solutions. But when you start we have no problems we have greatest players who are highly paid and all we want is a coach - we can win the cup.
That has been the attitude in every world cup. Each time they fail. They have no team chemistry and looks like have personal egos.
Look USA has no spectacular players like English hype, yeah they have Danovan who is a speedster more than a player, have couple more. But more importantly they won because they were resilient and decent team chemistry. Perosnally England is not a soccer powerhouse and definitely not with this team nor any team that I have seen them play for over 35+ years.
They did verse Germany which is one of the best teams in the world, so I wasn't expecting them to win wat so ever. I guess they gave it an alright shot. Their performance was neither shame or problem.
It's not that easy to beat a good team like Germany.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
