I hate to be the bearer of bad news… But the bleach isn’t exactly a stain. The bleach has removed the color of your carpeting in that patch, and there’s no easy way to fix it. You can’t remove the stair because it isn’t something over-lying the original color, something added to it, the color has been taken away. It’s very damaging to carpet fibers, too.

Products to re-dye your carpet? I don’t know of anything available for the home-consumer, and personally, I wouldn’t risk it, anyway. You could contact a local carpet cleaning service and ask what they recommend, but I don’t think there’s much to be done in this case, other than perhaps replacing that patch with a scrap of the same carpet—and depending on the age of the carpet and the location of the stain, THAT might not match very well anymore, either.

Those high-traffic areas don't look much like the corners, after a while. Bummer! Maybe spilling some tea or coffee on it would help return it to beige--but in my experience, once carpet has been stained and cleaned, the cleaned patches pick up dirt and grime faster, and the stains show up again.

The breakdown of fibers is also going to attract dirt to this spot, I would bet. Wish I could offer a better solution! Sources: Personal experience... but my bleach stain was on dark blue carpet, and it turned it light grey.

Add color Bleach takes out the color. You would have to add color to the spot. You could -- if you have a small sample of the rug and depending on the material that the rug is made out of -- try to color it.

You could -- get a professional to either dye or add color to the spot or if you have a samply sometimes they can cut the piece out and add a new piece of rug to the area. Good luck. Seam in a Patch The bleach "stain" is actually the absence of "stain" or color. The bleach as taken some of the "beige" out of the carpet. I think the only way to correct this is to get all the bleach residue out and restain the carpet.

This is hard to do in spots and get a match so I think I would opt for replacing that piece of carpet. If you have any left over that matches possibly a carpet store installer could come to your house and create a patch and heat-fuse it into place. They can get a very good patch where you can't even see where the patch is.

This is the kind of thing they do to seam the carpet at doorways, etc. Sources: IMHO .

Sorry you can't When my idiot brother came to live with my mom(years ago)--hes no longer an idiot(LOL) he decided to wash the ceiling(mobile home) with water and bleach. Well the fool didn't cover any of the floor, walls etc. My mom had to put rugs down were the bleach was. Bleach removes all color from fabric.

So a throw rug is your best option. When I moved in with my mom.....we finally just recapreted the entire house.....I was so tired of throw rugs everywhere. BTW our carpet was the same color as yours.

Bleach is less of a stain, and more of a loss of color. You can't get bleach stains out because the bleach has removed the existing color. There is no stain to remove, the color must be replaced.

There are service providers that can use colorings to change the color of entire carpet, or just a portion, which may be cheaper than replacing the carpet. Once bleach has broken the original color down, there is nothing to remove. I hope this helps..

I used a product from Americolor and it worked great! They sell these "Dye Pens" that will actually dye the carpet permanently and are really easy to use. Just heat up the pen in the microwave ( with the cap off of course) and then apply to the carpet.

They even sell a remover pen to take off the dye just in case you put to much. It was only like $15 bucks and took care of my problem in like 5 minutes. Html.
