How to plan financially for long Road Trips?

This is a great idea for a hub, and I plan to do one -- thanks for the suggestion. I can't write it up yet, since I haven't finished crunching the numbers on what my trip ended up running (vs. my initial projections, which I already know were way off in certain regards). I know that it wasn't as easy to find cheap hotels as I thought it would be, but we made up for that by camping at some destinations.

I also know that we ended up driving about 2,000 more miles than my initial projection, so my gas budget was off. Once I look at everything more closely, I'll be able to write up a list of tips based on the things I did right and the things I did wrong. Thanks again for reading!

Well...depends on how far I have to go and how much I have....the last journey I made was about 3 days and I had about $1000......spent about $560 on gas, feeding and accomodation.......very important.....plan to spend high so you'll be okay if you have to spend high.

Actually it all depends upon you how are you going to plan for that long road trip. It is best that you will calculate the expenses of that trip and you will start saving now.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
