How to take public transportation from Healthrow airport of London to Dover port for cruise with luggages?

London to Dover I would take a train. From the website, it looks like you will need to take the Underground to Charing Cross or London Victoria, where you can get a train to Dover Priory. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to get there and costs 37 pounds.

Pack light--there are lots of stairs to do this kind of traveling! Just found this: Directions: By Car: Dover is approximately 70 miles from South London. From the M2, follow the A2 direct into Dover, or from the M20, follow the A20 again into Dover.

Both the Eastern & Western Docks Ferry Terminals are clearly signed. By Coach: There is a frequent National express coach service from London Victoria coach station. Approximate Journey time is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Other buses arrive at the main bus station in Dover town centre. By Rail: If you are travelling by rail, services operate from London Victoria or London Charing Cross to Dover Priory Station. Approximate journey time is 1 hour 45 minutes.

There is a courtesy bus service during the day (note this does not operate in the evenings or during the night). If you are arriving from Calais or returning to the UK, buses leave Eastern Docks for Dover Priory between 7.00 a.m. To 9.00 p.m.

Here is how to do it but you may want to consider a car service. If there are three or more in your party (or if you have heavy luggage or anyone in your party cannot climb stairs) it may be worth considering a car service, as the cost may not be much more than three Tube and rail fares and you won't have to carry everything yourself. You can take the Underground from Heathrow to Victoria station, and from there take the train to Dover Priory station.

The trip on the Tube will take about 45 minutes from LHR, and trains from Victoria take about an hour and a half. South Eastern Rail operates the service from Victoria - there are also overground trains from London Charing Cross to Dover. There are at least three trains an hour from Victoria to Dover Priory, with the journey taking about one and three quarters hours.

For info on train times and fares, have a look at www.nationalrail.co.uk National Express coaches operate from Victoria Coach Station to Dover, but they're considerably slower - the train is your best bet. Allow about an hour for passport control and baggage collection after you arrive at LHR, then another hour for the trip to Victoria and getting from the Tube station upstairs to the mainline rail station. Alternately, there are a number of car services offering transport from the airport to the cruise terminal in Dover.

Train & Underground We took the Underground to the train station and the train to dover and a cab to the port. It was a LONG haul with our luggage and it was a tiring trip. I recommend, if posisble, not doing this at traffic time.

There isn’t a lot of luggage room on the train and ours was in the way of everyone. They would just throw it out of the way and it was frustrating for them and for us. At the Dover train station, cabs come by frequently, however, it might be a good idea to have the name of a company to call ahead as there isn’t much around when you get to the station but a food establishement on the corner that wasn’t open at the time of our arrival.

Good luck! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
