Both my brothers also did quite well on Atkins. Of course, all three of us gained back most of the weight we had lost. Can we blame the diet for that?

It’s hard to say. I believe the last phase of Atkins is maintenance, wherein the dieter changes his or her eating habits forever. We did not do that, and we paid the price.

What’s great about Atkins is that initially one loses a lot of weight very quickly, which provides a tremendous amount of motivation to continue and do even better. If you show some discipline at that point you’ll probably continue to lose more weight, but you have to remember that once you start packing in the carbs your weight will quickly rise so it’s up to you: eat carbs and reverse your winnings, or keep the carb intake as low as you can manage and just live like that henceforth. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
