How would someone become a mystery shopper?

I became a mystery shopper because it was a great way to get free food. Typically, the jobs do not pay much considering the amount of paper work you have to do. Since I'm not supposed to go in specifics, I'll speak generically.

I would sign up to do a shop at Happy Burgers. I would be told a range of times and dates I could go. Once there, I would be required to note details about how long it took me to order, get my food, what the food was like, how clean the place was, etc. There is usually a questionnaire (of about 50 questions) you have to fill out.

For this, I would get paid about $6-7 dollars plus the cost of the food. It was a great way to get a free meal. I don't do it as much anymore, because I don't have the time.

I can't say what companies I work for specifically, but I would advise ANYONE who is interested in becoming one to make sure the company is a member of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association mysteryshop.org/ Also, you should never PAY to become a mystery shopper.

Interesting Question. I found out there are alot of scams out there. I have here an infomative article from the Federal Trade Comission. It debunks false advertising about becoming a mystery shopper, and, provides information on how to get into the deal.

Check these two resources... ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt... This is just one of the sites listed (for free) at the resource below (which I got through the FTC link): beyondhello.com/secure/index.htm I'm now considering getting myself and my wife into this business!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
