I am a new wordpress user (self hosted) bestow upon me your best practices, favorite tools, plugins, tips, tricks etc?

One plugin I'd recommend above all others is Wordpress Database Backup: wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/ This plugin has already saved me once when I've had problems. I set it up to email me a copy of the DB once a week on friday. Truly invaluable if you have content that's hard to replace.As far as regular plugins I'd go with: Sexybookmarks wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sexybookmarks/ For your users to share content around on different services.

Yet Another Related Posts Plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/ Adds related posts to the bottom of your posts so users can easily find similar content.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
