I have several tattoos myself and know many people with tattoos. I think they are beautiful and very artistic if done in a tastful maner. However there are some instances that it is just not apropriate to show a tattoo.
Such as representing your law firm or the bank you work for. Tattoos are certainly getting more and more accepted throughout the world, one just has to be careful with time and place for showing a tat. Good luck!
Would love to see pictures when its done!
I'm not a fan. Tattoos are permanent but human beings likes and dislikes change. I would think for a long time before putting something permanent on your body that you may come to dislike years from now.
I have 13 tattoos, the biggest being two dragons mirror imaged across my back with tribal going across my shoulders and slightly up my neck... I made sure that if I wear a shirt and tie, none of my ink shows, im glad I did that seems I am a director of a company and I can imagine that certain clients I deal with would take a dim view of all of my ink! Certain people are very judgemental when it comes to things like that.. Its sad really!
I would think long and hard about where you think you may end up in the working world. If you end up in the corporate world, you will always have to cover them up. I don't mind tattoos but if you want any sort of office or corporate job, you will be looked down upon if you cannot cover them up and it may hinder your ability to work your way up.
Guess it really depends on who you are working for. Tattoos are more common these days and people are becoming more accepting of it. I work in retail and have 4 tattoos, 2 of which are on my wrists so they are always showing. My bosses have never minded and honestly neither have the customers either I don't think.
Alot even admire and ask where I got them done.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
